What is SoundLand?
It is four days and nights of Music, Art, Food and Fun. Like NBN, SoundLand will feature showcases, concerts, VIP Parties and music business workshops but now the festival will be adding outdoor stages, an arts village and more interactive fun. -
Where will SoundLand take place?
Like NBN, SoundLand will take place at multiple venues over multiple days and nights. A full list of venues is forthcoming, which will include Mercy Lounge, Cannery Ballroom, Public Square Park, Third Man Records, 12th & Porter, MAI, The Basement, The Station Inn and more. -
Who is playing?
Our initial artist announcement includes M Ward, Ghostland Observatory, Justin Towns Earle, JEFF the Brotherhood, Bonobo, Dawes, Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, PUJOL, Paper Route, Caitlin Rose, Jessica Lee Mayfield, and Chancellor Warhol. Nearly 100 more bands will be announced in the coming weeks. -
Will there be a Conference?
Yes and no. Yes, we will have an educational/workshop component but it will not be a traditional conference and it will not take place in a single location. We will be taking special "Field Trips" and hosting artist-led workshops. More info on that very soon. -
Is there an artist submission process this year?
No. For this year, the event will be purely curated/booked by NBN with the help of our Programming Committee and our organizational partners (Record Labels, Performance Rights Organization's, Booking Agencies etc.). -
Will there still be local bands?
Yes. Lots. But we will be adding more national, international and regional artists to the traditional NBN lineup of established and emerging area artists. -
Does "Presents" mean NBN will now be presenting other events?
Yes. Plans are in the works for other events. Sign up on the email list and follow Twitter/Facebook for announcements. -
Will there actually be guitar-shaped rollercoasters?
We're working on it.
